EB3 for ROW has retrogressed quite a bit and this could actually be a great opportunity to beef up the DC rally with people from the rest of the world. It would be much better to have legal immigrants from all over the world protesting instead of just Indians and some Chinese. Core group, time to look in that direction since we only have a month before the rally? I expect there to be a lot of Europeans and Aussies on the East Coast on EB-3.
I am still trying to understand this GC process. My PD (EB3-ROW) is March 31, 2006. I do not see that this Spt bulletin is a good news for me. So When should I expect my PD become current? 4-5 years.
My lawyer did process my i-140/i-485 for the July visa Viasco, but i think they only send the i-140 and the AP/EAD forms. Is this possible and what are the benefit for these applications.

Applicants from other countries that have not yet reached their per-country limit have reported a total demand of 6,500 numbers. After taking the worldwide demand into account, it is determined that as a result of the China-mainland born and India per-country limits only 8,100 of the total available Employment Second preference numbers would be used in that quarter. In this instance, the otherwise unused 3,500 numbers could then be made available to China-mainland born and India regardless of their per-country limits. Should that occur, the same cut-off date would be applied to each country, since numbers must be provided strictly in priority date order regardless of chargeability. This is simply the explanation as to why will EB2 India get a huge number and not so much for EB2 China (so when year end statistics come out, there would not be too much noise about why EB2 India got several thousands of visa numbers more than any other category).

For all those who are doing Online MBA/part time was any one successful in getting a financial aid through FASFA? If not FASFA what are other alternatives? like loans from bank etc?
When I applied for financial aid they told me that since I dont have my greencard Im not eligible

I was told that for AC21 we need to spend atleast 180 days counted from Reciept Date.
What is Reciept Date as we dont see that exact wording on reciepts.
Our 485 reciept has Notice Date and Received Date? What is Reciept Date from here?

As per our religion Parents are always Gods. And there is story of Lord Ganesha about when he was asked that who is your God? He said my parents.
This is where the problem starts chantu. For us in India, anything and everything is god. Indian movie actress's are our gods. We build temple to them. Amitabh is a god, Manisha is a god. These people take the gods avtars in our movies. But we all know how those people are. Most of them in that industry commit adultry.
Our Hindu party BJP uses these movie celebraties during election. We easily portray gods using those filthy people. So this is where problem starts. We have to clean our own backyard first.

I agree with you on this one. If you all think that GC is the only issue here, then go ahead and support Mc Cain. But if you all think that you are going to be here long term or planning on making this your home, then I think Obama is good for the country. Look where has the capitalism and free market has taken us today, nobody has a clue as to how to fix this mess, all this bail out solutions are just temporary and is pulling us further into debt trap. If there is a recession or a dollar collapse, your GC will not ensure your job.
Free market is good only for the top execs and big corporations. There should be some regulation so that they do not become irresponsible in their conduct of business. Without regulation, it is like letting a wild bull run in a china shop, it will knock everything in its way. Republicans policy is to take all the broken pieces of the china ware, put some adhesive on them and put them back on shelf, they do not want to reign in the wild bull unlike democrats.

Can new company file amendmend to existing I-140...
The company who filed my greencard got acquired within 6 months of I485 filing for me, They amend my H1 within 6 months window and now they are in process of amending the I140..
My question to gurus is-Will he be ok if his new company amend the I140.

The above post is senseless !! who cares who votes for whom and who does what ?? what democrats do and what republicans do is not in our hands - nor do we decide who comes in power. our aim should be to try and come up with a plan and act on it. whether it succeeds or not is not in our hands ...doing something is better than nothing. so if u have a better plan come up with it and we will support and act on it.

Things don't move in vacuum. How people vote has everything to do with how lawmakers vote and how lawmakers vote has everything to do with what bills pass. You just want the bill so that you can get green card, end of story. And anything other than that is "who cares".
Look, without making and attempt to understand how things work in DC/Congress, sending flowers and cards to Obama, don't expect things to change. Tunnel vision is very dangerous, just like half knowledge.
Although we do not control who comes into power, if we wish to have our issues addressed, we have the responsibility to understand why/how someone or some party won the elections. Please stop behaving like and IT project manager where someone will come up with a silver bullet solution/plan and then implementation of that one silver bullet will fix everything. Getting bills passed in congress is not an IT project. I think the plan has been laid by the core team. I understand that core team has repeatedly told us to get more actively involved, raise money to help with advocacy and create awareness of the issue. Posting few messages on the web forum is not the measure of how involved someone is. But it appears most people on this forum do not want to do what the core seems to be telling us. We just want to come up with an way way out, a silver bullet solution, well defined project plan, and at the end of time and money, we must see the desired result. Maybe that's why some of the folks keep asking for the "plan". And discussion about who won the election and how people/lawmakers vote is seen as out of place and unnecessary.
