People are going to run after me for my comments but this is what i have to say.
Most of the visitors to IV take it for granted, they will come and see/search info and move on. No one is forcing them to pay a single penny for using a resource like IV. Its an attitude that someone will go to DC for ME, someone will pay the money for ME and if something happend I will also take benefit. Unfortunately thats what i see around.
Ideally we need to contribute - either by going to DC or by financial means. I did my part by contributing a few dollars(equals to 2 lunch outings for my family), cant force others but would expect people to do it one way or the other. Finally its our choice to do something for our own good or just keep sitting in a corner waiting for someone to do something for us.
Agree with indogokiwi and others. Whoever has consumed IV resources for anything like prediction thread or getting info from lawyers etc should chip in(dont get flamed, its just a request).
Since knowing of IV, I have contributed for these campaigns and will do in future too.

Hi..
my H1 got approved on dec 2006 for 2007 cap.It is 3 years valid.
Because of some problems between me and my employer,
i just transfered my h1 to h4 to maintain my case status on jan 2007.
He didn't give my H1 paper to me and gave me a copy of it.
Now,Can I reuse my H1 again?
and
If it is posible , can transfer the same h1 with other company without paystubs.Please help me out.

The FIFO policy applies (i know, i know, there are lots of exceptions) to applications in a particular category. In fact, for those who have PDs before the current cutoff, there is no FIFO. I know that you have been harping on this for a long time that eventually EB2 will be held back in favor of EB3, but there is no logical basis for this argument. Why isn't EB1 for the retrogressed countries backlogged? With your logic, there should be a time when EB1 is held back for EB2 and EB3 to catch up.
The fact is that most of Pre 2004 EB2 lot is already out of the system. Those who are still in are sufferer of namecheck and BECs.There is no perfect mechanism to determine the ratio but I would guess 80% are out from that group. Second factor what we need to look is Most of EB3 Mid 2002 to Mid 2005 are still in the system. Third factor what we need to understand is that EB3 filing is always more than double of EB2. Fourth fact is that USCIS has to see "FIFO" is followed or not. So end effect would be we will see EB3 India progressing from this December till April 2008 bulletins reasonably. EB2 will be put on hold . End result in summary would be both EB2 and Eb3 will be brought to Middle of 2005 by next June bulletin. It is surprising (rather shocking) to see how a discussion on an EB bill (which might never see the light of day anyway) has degenerated into an oft-repeated rant on how IV does not represent EB3.
What is even more surprising is PlainSpeak is a member from 2006 and doesn't know anything about advocacy and lobbying. Probably because he/she has never been a donor.
Of course I've seen people who browse other so called immigration/chat forums and pick up wierd ideas and fantasies about lobbying and then post here. Its just mob mentality with un-practical ideas and they think if a mob says its right then maybe it has to be right. yes?
Then they claim that only they are right (the mob) and we are all wrong and don't know how to do things - strange indeed.
People can chat, argue all they want on forums, but about 99% of people on public forums know nothing about advocacy.

Another solution is to remove the dual intent nature of the H1B, and disallow filing of a green card petition for H1B holders. That will preserve the temporary nature of the H1B program and force a fresh look at the system for issuing green cards.

Nola - Do you have any recommendations for a fuel belt?. I need one of these really soon. I need one which does not bounce while running and has enough space for 20 oz of water, a cell phone, keys and something that is really light.

I have been using the 4 pack fuelbelt for the past 6 years. It has holders for 4 plastic bottles each of which hold 6ozs of fluid. There is a pouch in the front or back in which you can carry 2 or 3 power gel packs (for instant carbs/energy) and you can carry some Tylenol or Aleve if you need it. I clip my cell phone on to the belt itself along my sides or back.
The 4 bottles contain enough fluid for me to run a half marathon. When I did the full marathon, I needed to replenish the bottles around mile 17 or so.
I recommend carrying gatorade in the bottles as opposed to just water. Gatorade helps with electrolyte replenishment.
Of course you can also carry your ID, some cash, house or car key in the pouch. I also purchased a shoe wallet, the clasp of which can be customized with your name, address, the name and cell phone for emergency situations. I usually carry my id, credit card, cash and 1 key in this shoe wallet. It clasps through your show laces with velcro, only about $10 bucks or so.

i odn't think it passed. what was included in the amendment is s1121 and not s113 that has our provisions. please clarify.

i just looked at the amendments in detail and this provision was in SA 180 (page 1113)
On the other hand SA 187 (page 1121) seems to have passed.
I am a bit unsure though of what happened to SA 180. Did it get amended by some other amendment. It does not appear to have been tabled.
