On USCIS status, it says.." On October 11, 2007, we received this I485..." .
Processing time for TSC is Aug07.. Does this mean my case will not processed now?
There is no telling, there are already some approvals where the ND is in OCT and TSC approved those. Online it always shows ND as your RD. Be Hopeful.

I'm 06 and I know exactly what u r saying...Many 06 guyz got approved in 2008 but all those cases were from TSC where the processing times had reached 06. Freakin NSC was behind in processing and hence our cases were stuck. I'm assuming ur case is at NSC....
But come to the present day, everything is in place for our approvals. I'm confident v all will get it this time. Just a matter of time and its frustrating rt now...YES.
I went through the same frustration in 2008 when many 2006 got approved even when my date was current.
Looks like the same thing is going to happen again -- most of the approvals are from 2006 and I am still stuck forever..what the *&%^ing going on....
But come to the present day, everything is in place for our approvals. I'm confident v all will get it this time. Just a matter of time and its frustrating rt now...YES.

I e-filed my EAD and send documents.

Documents received by USCIS and LUD on 04/16/10
LUD on 04/19/10
LUD on 04/20/10
So, on and after documents were received by USCIS, I had received 3 LUDs. Is this normal? Has it happened to someone else who e-filed. Mine is at NSC.

I highly doubt any one with a full time job will trade enough volume for it to be cost effective to claim trader status when filing taxes. If you trade for a living,not work as a trader then it makes absolute sense to file as a trader.
What is the advantage of claiming trader status on your tax return? I buy / sell shares on different days of the week (example: Buy on Monday, Sell on Friday). Does that make me a day trader?
I am doing this on H1B. I do have approved EAD.

Those whose PDs are getting close to the spillover time have time to waste on the forum on useless discussions. Others are busy in advocacy day and contributing. I would not be surprised that these antiIV folks will turn anti-immigrants once they get their greencards. They will not want more people to get greencards after them and compete with them and their children in job market.

Now EB2 is also stucked at2003 Jan.
It took 11 months to move 8 days. When Eb3 get into retrogressionevery one started filing in EB2. I think if nothing comes relief like SKIL \ CIR better to stay wit EB3 - Mar 2004.
I think with in one year EB2 and EB3 wil get same priority dates.

For EB3 Folks with PD's in early - 2003- there are close to 8742 applicants in front of you That is a wait of 5 more years.
For EB3 Folks with PD's in mid 2003 and later - There are 14583 applicants in line before you- That is a wait of 10-12 more years.
Now the only way forward will be to lobby with IV for a legislative fix. Apart from that there is just no option, the sooner people realise that and help IV with advocacy, the better results we will get.

I think they should open the poll as people are still calling..I voted on the poll but by then I only called a few senators, now yesterday I called all of the senators, I would like to change my vote. If we open the poll we can track how many people called, can someone from the core do this??

It was a wonderful experience for me and my wife to meet with the congressmen. Most of them were straightforward and would say whether they agree or disagree with you. The need to differentiate our cause and clearly communicate our agenda became very obvious in the meetings. We need to continuously reinforce the points.
IV did an excellent job organizing the meetings and made it so easy for people like us to participate and contribute to the cause.
From my own experience i can say that taking concrete steps reduces the anxiety of uncertainty, whatever maybe the eventual outcome. That in itself is a reason enough to act.
As i said earlier we need to continuously reinforce our points to the congressmen. Those who missed this opportunity to reduce their anxiety would definitely have more opportunities coming their way in the future.

If you read my any previous posts and to repeat, there will be no issue to contribute from me or most of us here. We need an action item. Anyone with minimum common knowledge here sees there is no change in dates for the last 6 months, or even last few years. You seem to be a strong supporter of contributions, can you list one action item which we planned to take up in the last or in near future that addresses our concerns of backlogs. Now dont come back and tell me or send me a picture of July 07 campaign or your 12th grade or 10th grade marksheet. We need to be doing things of our interest EVERY single day. I do my job very good.. I know.. but I have to keep doing it everyday if I have to keep it. Similarly unless you put continuous efforts, you wont get continuous results.

2 wks max. I submitted it to them on 10/8 (in-person) & got it on 10/17. Keep aside 2-4 hrs when you go to submit as there is only 1 window operational.

I had two more of my friends join on the 12th of dec, I just called them and confirmed.
What I have been realising, is that just inviting friends sending emails or "Invite a Friend"
feature on the website is not at all enough. You almost have to follow up with one or two phone calls.
"oh! great, I did not know there is an organisation, I will join it". is very amazing to see the
other extreme of "how can legislation help" to "what is a visa number" and "I-485?"
Anyways it is awareness that we have to build. People affected do not know, there is an organisation that
is working, that they can help and help themselves.
I urge to call and follow up, meet personally if possible. Last night again I met 1 other couple and talked to them
about immigration. I know some people feel it is personal to ask about status of their GC Process. I suggest you
talk to them about your process, and how limited visa numbers and retrogression with country quotas is creating
this bottleneck. Talk to them that without legislative change, they are looking at 6-10 years or more.
